One person killed in two-vehicle crash in Kenosha County

KENOSHA (WITI) -- Kenosha County Sheriff's officials say one person is dead after a two-vehicle crash that occurred Tuesday morning, September 9th.

It happened just after 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of County Highway KR and the West Frontage Road west of I-94 in the Town of Paris.

Sheriff's officials say a vehicle headed northbound on the West Frontage Road proceeded through the intersection at County Highway KR.

A vehicle headed eastbound on County Highway KR struck the northbound vehicle.

The driver of the northbound vehicle was killed in the crash. A passenger in that vehicle was taken to the hospital -- but is expected to survive.

Sheriff's officials say the northbound vehicle had a stop sign, and it is unclear at this time whether that vehicle stopped for the stop sign.

The vehicle headed eastbound didn't have any traffic control.

On Wednesday, September 10th, Sheriff's officials released the names of those involved in this crash.

The deceased is 85-year-old Richard Dumke of Kenosha. His passenger was 84-year-old Laurene Dumke, also of Kenosha.

The driver of the vehicle headed eastbound was 47-year-old Todd Bruesewitz of Burlington.
