One person dead in Appleton group home fire

APPLETON — Police say one person has been found dead after crews put out a fire at group home in Appleton.

Another person was treated for smoke inhalation early Wednesday. Sgt. Dave Lund says everyone else who lives in the group home is OK.

Firefighters responded to the home about 6 a.m. The state fire marshal is investigating, which is standard procedure if a death is involved.
