One dead following traffic accident near 81st & W. Florist

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police are investigating a fatal traffic accident that occurred near 81st and W. Florist at approximately 8:40 p.m. Sunday, January 27th.

Authorities say a GMC Yukon was traveling eastbound on W. Florist Ave. when the driver lost control of the vehicle, and struck a tree near 81st.

The driver, 30-year-old Mark Tyler, was transported to a local hospital. He later died as a result of his injuries.

Officials say the two other occupants, a 31-year-old Milwaukee man and an 11-year-old Milwaukee boy, sustained non-life threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash is unknown and remains under investigation.
