Officials: Gun possessed by Sylville Smith stolen from home in Town of Genesee

MILWAUKEE -- The Waukesha County Sheriff's Department believes the gun possessed by Sylville Smith during Saturday's confrontation with police was stolen from a home in the Town of Genesee. That theft happened back in March.
Officials with the sheriff's department are working with the Department of Criminal Investigations to trace the gun using its serial number. It has not been substantiated that Smith stole the gun.
