Oak Creek Bender Park water rescue; 1 take to hospital

One person was taken to the hospital after being rescued from the water at Bender Park in Oak Creek on Sunday night, Aug. 23. 

What we know:

According to the Oak Creek Fire Department, emergency crews were called to a report of a swimmer in distress at around 7:35 p.m.
A person on a jet ski assisted the swimmer with a personal floatation device prior to OCFD's arrival. 

An OCFD rescue swimmer brought the victim to shore.

The victim was conscious and taken to the hospital for further evaluation.

The Oak Creek Fire Department was assisted by the South Milwaukee Fire Department.
