Northbound lanes reopening on I-41/I-894 at Greenfield Avenue

WEST ALLIS -- Wisconsin Department of Transportation officials say one northbound lane is blocked on I-41/I-894 westbound at WIS 59 -- Greenfield Avenue due to semi crash.

The crash occurred around 7:30 p.m.

Northbound traffic was diverted off at Greenfield Avenue.

Sheriff's officials tell FOX6 News a semi carrying large rolls of paper jackknifed north of Greenfield Avenue, and south of the Zoo Interchange.

Tow trucks were called in to deal with the semi and the rolls of paper.

We're told the semi's cabin was severely damaged and the driver had to be extricated. He was taken to the hospital -- but the extent of injuries suffered is unclear.

Once the fog settled in on Sunday night, it was quite difficult to see the crash scene via DOT cameras. A Dense Fog Advisory was issued Sunday night, through noon on Monday.

Early Sunday, a truck rollover shut down I-94 near Barker Road for hours.
