Newborn puppies found in trash can rescued, turned over to MADACC

MILWAUKEE -- Officials with MADACC, the Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission on Tuesday, March 15th rescued three newborn puppies that are now in foster care.

The puppies were brought to MADACC after they were found in a trash can in South Milwaukee -- near 13th and Minnesota.

The puppies had to be put into foster care immediately to ensure their survival, because they need care around the clock.

MADACC officials said these puppies were lucky to have been found and rescued.

Officials are also encouraging pet owners to spay and neuter their pets, to avoid situations like this.

Additionally, MADACC and the Wisconsin Humane Society have low cost options for everyone to take advantage of.

If your dog has puppies that you are unable to care for, you can contact Wisconsin Humane Society and discuss surrendering them there.
