Neighbors call shooting victim quiet, sweet

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police continue to investigate a shooting that left a 48-year-old woman dead in her apartment Friday night.

Police say they found the woman near 23rd and Scott Street at about 8:00 p.m.
Neighbors say they never heard a gun shot, and are not sure who called 911.



The woman, who lived in an upstairs apartment, is described by neighbors as sweet and quiet.  Neighbors say she kept to herself and has never been known to get into trouble.

"She was a sweet lady. I don't understand why somebody would want to kill her or come in her home and murder her like that," one neighbor said.

The woman's name has not been released.  Police have not released details on any possible suspects.
