MPS taking steps to keep students safe during bitter cold



MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Dangerous, bitter cold weather is here, and MPS is taking steps to keep students safe as bitterly cold temperatures move into the region.

MPS is reminding parents to make sure their children are dressed warmly, with all skin covered. If you need warm clothes for your children, please contact your school social worker or dial 211 for resources.

If your child doesn't have a warm place to go after school, many of MPS' elementary buildings are open for after-school programs; contact your principal to discuss after-school opportunities.
