MPD investigating 2 homicides that happened within 30 minutes

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating two separate homicides that took place withing 30 minutes of each other on Saturday afternoon, July 6th.

Officers responded to a call of a person down in the 4000 block of N. 15th St. at approximately noon. Upon arrival they found a 31-year-old Milwaukee man that had several fatal gunshot wounds.

No suspects have been arrested in this case. An investigation is ongoing.

Shortly after the first incident, officers responded to a report of a stabbing in the 2000 block of N. 39th St. Authorities found a 21-year-old Milwaukee woman with a stab wound. She later died from the injury.

Initial investigations show the victim had a confrontation with a 25-year-old woman who armed herself with a knife. The suspect has been arrested and will be questioned by detectives.
