MPD District 4 officers arrest burglary suspect

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- District 4 officers from the Milwaukee Police Department arrested a 25-year-old Caledonia man for his role in a burglary after he’s found with stolen items.

Officers were dispatched the 12200 block of W. Good Hope Road at 5:40 p.m. on September 22 for a report of a burglary.

The victim, a 35-year-old Milwaukee man, told officers he found an unknown man inside his home.

The suspect fled from the house on foot and had stolen several electronic items from the victim.

District 4 officers began a search of the area and saw a suspect in the 11900 block of W. Appleton Avenue.

The suspect was taken into custody and inside his backpack were some of the items that were stolen.

During an interview with investigators, the suspect admitted to stealing the items.

MPD will present charges in this case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
