Motorcyclist killed in crash in Racine County after striking mailbox, tree

TOWN OF RAYMOND -- Officials with the Racine County Sheriff's Office are investigating after a fatal motorcycle crash Tuesday night, November 1st in the Town of Raymond.

It happened shortly after 9:00 p.m. in the 3600 block of 108th St in the in the Town of Raymond.

A 911 caller advised that a motorcycle appeared to have struck a mailbox and tree -- and the operator did not appear to be breathing after the crash.

Deputies arriving on scene confirmed the crash involved the single motorcycle, and the motorcyclist was pronounced dead.

According to Racine County Sheriff's officials, based on evidence at the scene, the accident appeared to have happened hours prior to the 911 call reporting the accident.

The caller dialed 911 after coming upon the crash.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation at this time, but speed and alcohol do not appear to be a factor.
