Motorcyclist in critical condition following crash on Douglas Avenue in Caledonia

CALEDONIA -- A 42-year-old Racine man is in critical condition following a motorcycle crash that occurred early Tuesday morning, June 2nd.

The accident occurred in the 6300 of Douglas Avenue around 12:46 a.m.

A preliminary investigation has revealed the motorcycle was headed northbound on Douglas Avenue when it began to skid, causing the operator to lose control and become ejected from the motorcycle. The operator was not wearing a helmet.

The man was transported to All Saints Hospital in Racine by Caledonia Rescue and later flown to Froedtert by Flight for Life due to the severity of his injuries.  He is reported to be in critical condition.

Caledonia Police are currently reviewing surveillance video from area businesses to determine if any other vehicles were involved or a cause for the crash.
