Milwaukee Public Schools will be OPEN on Wednesday
MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee Public Schools will be OPEN on Wednesday, January 8th. MPS and dozens of other school districts was shut down on Monday and Tuesday because of bitterly cold air that blanketed southeast Wisconsin. Hundreds of businesses were also impacted.
While the wind will ease, temperatures are forecast to be quite cold on Wednesday. The FOX6 Weather Team forecast indicates we can expect a high temperature of about ten degrees Fahrenheit.
MPS officials are urging parents to prepare and dress their children accordingly for the trip to and from school. If you need assistance, you're urged to contact your school social worker or call the 211 helpline.
The Milwaukee Health Department offers some great tips for keeping adults and children warm during this cold stretch.
