Milwaukee police: Dispute over parking space leads to gunfire; arrest

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- A 26-year-old Milwaukee woman has been taken into custody for firing a shot at a vehicle during a dispute over a parking space.

District 5 officers were dispatched to the area of N. Port Washington Avenue and W. Vienna Avenue just before 10:00 a.m. on  Tuesday, November 4th.

Upon arrival, officers met with two victims, a 21-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman, who said their neighbor fired a shot at their vehicle after the group got into an argument over parking.

The gunshot did not hit the vehicle, which was occupied by five children ranging in age from one to eight.

The suspect, a 26-year-old Milwaukee woman, was taken into custody and confessed to the incident.

Police also recovered the gun that she used to fire the shot. Milwaukee Police will present this case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
