Milwaukee Police: Burglary suspect caught with stolen snow blower

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police arrested a burglary suspect on the city's northwest side on Monday, August 31st after the suspect was seen pushing a stolen snow blower across a parking lot.

Officers responded to the neighborhood near 55th and Roosevelt around 5:15 p.m. on Monday for a report of an entry in progress. The caller told officers she saw a man breaking into a neighbor’s garage.

While headed to the scene, another caller told police they saw a suspicious man, who matched the description of the suspect in the garage burglary, pushing a snow blower near 60th and Burleigh Streets.

Officers stopped the suspect, a 32-year-old Milwaukee man, and took him into custody.

The suspect, who is a convicted felon, later confessed to stealing the snow blower from the garage and confessed to four other burglaries in the previous two weeks which occurred in the nearby area.

This case will be presented to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
