Milwaukee Police arrest 16-year-old suspect in three robberies

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee Police officers have arrested a 16-year-old Milwaukee boy for his involvement in three armed robberies. The arrest came after the suspect robbed the Little Caesars restaurant in the 2900 block of Chase Ave. around 9:45 p.m. December 18th.

Witnesses say the suspect entered the store with a BB gun and demanded money before fleeing. Officers located the suspect and an accomplice, a 20-year-old Milwaukee man, at a bus stop near the 3100 block of S. Howell Ave. Both men were arrested.

Upon questioning, the 16-year-old admitted to being the gunman in a robbery at a Speedway gas station in the 3800 block of S. 84th St. on December 8th and part of the armed robbery at a George Webb restaurant in the 2000 block of W. Mitchell St. on October 30th.

The teenage suspect also confessed to participating in two other armed robberies in other jurisdictions. The case will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office in the coming days.
