Milwaukee law firm creates human pink ribbon for breast cancer awareness

MILWAUKEE -- In honor of October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, downtown Milwaukee law firm Godfrey & Kahn employees came together to create a human pink ribbon on Wednesday, October 24th.

They also came together to remember an employee who recently lost her battle with breast cancer.

All month long, the firm hosted different fundraisers to benefit the Breast Division at the West Allis Memorial Hospital Women's Pavilion.

"We had a 'Sloppy Joe Day.' We've done a bake sale. We've done a month long event of 'guess the m&m's' and in particular for the woman who we just recently lost, we want to keep her in our hearts. We did a buy a heart, write the name of a person you want to keep in your heart," Godfrey & Kahn employee Sarah Remmel said.

The firm says they will present a check to the West Allis hospital in November.
