Milwaukee County drivers cope with wet snow, slick roads
MILWAUKEE CO. (WITI) -- The evening commute on Tuesday, February 26th is proving to be anything but pleasant for drivers in Milwaukee County.
FOX6 News spotted a vehicle that had spun off the on-ramp at I-94 and Ryan Rd. Tuesday afternoon. There were no injuries -- just a banged-up car.
The Ryan Rd. interchange is usually rather busy during the evening commute. But with the snow and low visibility, the traffic is noticeably slowed.
Motorists are encouraged to increase their distance between themselves and other drivers.
A spokeswoman with the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office said from the start of the snowfall to 8:00 p.m., deputies responded to six crashes and 17 disabled vehicles on County freeways.
