Menomonee Falls man sentenced to prison for hit-and-run crash that killed bicyclist
WEST BEND — A Menomonee Falls man has been sentenced to more than two years in prison for a hit-and-run crash that killed a bicyclist in 2015.
Thirty-two-year-old Adam Neuhaus was sentenced Monday, September 19th in the death of 50-year-old Keith Habenicht.
The Waukesha County district attorney tells FOX6 News Neuhaus was sentenced to serve two-and-a-half years in prison, and another five years on supervised release.
He pleaded guilty in July.
Habenicht was riding his bike home from a store on August 23rd when he was hit in Germantown. Authorities said Neuhaus did not stop to help, and witnesses said he had been drinking at a bar before the crash.
Neuhaus was arrested but later released because police weren't able to pinpoint who was driving the car. He was charged in March.
