Medical examiner identifies two young women killed in rollover crash in Brown Deer

BROWN DEER -- The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office has released its reports on a crash that killed two young women early on Thursday morning, February 11th in Brown Deer.

The crash involved one vehicle, and it happened around 12:30 a.m. near Dean and Teutonia.

When police arrived on scene, they found a car that appeared to have lost control and left the roadway while southbound on Teutonia Avenue. The vehicle rolled over at least once, and the medical examiner's report indicates it struck an electrical box and phone box before coming to a stop in a tree line just south of the intersection of Dean and Teutonia.

Three women were inside the vehicle at the time of the crash. Two were ejected from the car and one had to be extricated from the car.

The driver, 20-year-old Kierra Monei Jackson was pronounced dead at the scene. She was ejected from the vehicle.

A passenger, 22-year-old Fredericka Owens-Wright was flown to the hospital by Flight for Life, where she later died. She was ejected from the vehicle.

A third woman, age 20, was taken to the hospital, where she was in critical condition. She had to be extricated from the vehicle.

According to the medical examiner's report, the crash was witnessed by a friend of Monei Jackson, who was traveling behind the vehicle that Monei Jackson, Owens-Wright and the third woman were riding in.

The report indicates prior to the crash, the three women, who worked at Walmart, had just come from an Applebee's restaurant.

At the scene of the crash, the medical examiner noted "devastating" damage to the vehicle's front end.

Police say speed is being investigated as a possible factor in this crash.

The investigation into this crash continues with the assistance of the Wisconsin State Patrol.

This is the second fatal crash to occur in Brown Deer in less than one week's time.
