Marquette University police issue safety alert after robbery, carjacking reported near campus

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Marquette University officials on Monday, May 25th issued a safety alert.

Police are investigating a robbery and carjacking reported near 23rd and Michigan.

Two male suspects approached a male not affiliated with Marquette and demanded property. The victim gave up property and the suspects stole his vehicle, police say.

The vehicle was located in the 3900 block of West St. Paul Avenue.

The suspects hit the victim, who was treated by paramedics.

The suspects are described as:

Suspect #1: Black male in his early 20s -- wearing a black T-shirt with a white logo on the left chest and a large marijuana leaf on the back of the shirt, and black and white tennis shoes. He stands under 6' tall and was clean shaven.

Suspect #2: Black male in his early 20s -- wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, silver sweatpants and light-colored tennis shoes. He stands under 6' tall and has short hair.
