Man shot, wounded while walking down Milwaukee street

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred near 26th and Atkinson around 7:15 p.m. on Friday, November 1st.

The victim suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound and is being treated at a local hospital. 

Officials say the victim was walking and heard several gunshots and was struck.  He states he did not see who was shooting. 

There are no suspects are in custody.
