MILWAUKEE -- A 22-year-old man was seriously injured after being shot outside of the YMCA near 14th and North. The shooting happened Saturday night, Nov. 10.
According to police, the victim was seen arguing with the suspect while inside the building. Once they were outside, the suspect confronted the victim in the parking lot.
Kids were playing basketball and having fun inside the YMCA when the shooting unfolded outside. Adults inside took action to make sure YMCA members and staff were safe while the police were outside piecing things together. The ordeal created panic for parents who didn't know what was going on.
The victim was shot, and suffered a serious gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The shooting remains under investigation. Police are searching for the suspect.
