Man, live-in girlfriend face charges for thefts from vehicles

WASHINGTON COUNTY (WITI) -- A 25-year-old Town of Trenton man and his 24-year-old live-in girlfriend face charges after an investigation revealed the man was stealing items from parked motor vehicles.

Washington County Sheriff's officials say these thefts occurred in the Town of Trenton and the City of West Bend.

Sheriff's officials say it is alleged that the woman knowingly possessed some of the stolen goods while the man has confessed to several of the thefts.

A patrol deputy developed this man as a suspect and observed the suspect driving in Washington County.  After the deputy completed a traffic stop on the vehicle, the deputy located stolen property inside the vehicle.

Subsequent interviews and follow up from the Detective Bureau cleared numerous cases and identified many victims.  Some property has been returned and the Sheriff’s Office believes that all of the victims have been identified at this point.  The man remains in custody while the woman is not in custody at this time.

No charges have been issued at this time.
