Man in grave condition following crash near 30th & National

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- A 21-year-old man is in grave condition following a single-vehicle accident that occurred near 30th and National Ave. early Thursday morning, January 9th.

According to police, the crash occurred at approximately 2:35 a.m. Police say the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed westbound on West National Avenue when the driver lost control and collided with a light pole.

Both the driver and passenger were conveyed by Milwaukee Fire Department to a local hospital for injuries sustained in the accident.

The 21-year-old male driver is currently in grave condition and the 19-year-old male passenger is in good condition.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
