Man gets 51.5 years in prison for shooting MPD officer

MILWAUKEE -- A man who shot a Milwaukee police officer in 2010 was sentenced Monday.

Martin Bryant will spend the next 51-and-a-half years in prison.

Bryant shot Officer Chad Boyack in the foot with an AK-47 in June of 2010. Bryant was being pulled over near 11th and Locust when he began shooting at police.
