Man fatally shot in neighborhood on Milwaukee's south side

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 57-year-old John Noble that happened early on Sunday, April 21st on the city's south side. It appears to be the result of a robbery.

The shooting happened near 14th and Hayes around 3:45 a.m. Noble died on the scene of the crime. Investigators could be seen combing an alley for clues near the spot where the attack happened.

Neighbors say they know very little about what happened or who was involved. Adam Resczyznski says he has seen crime on the rise on these streets.

"A couple weeks ago there was a confrontation here, and they just yelled, and the cars just sped off," said Resczyznski.

Another neighbor who did not want to go on camera showed FOX6 News a bullet wound after he says he was jumped and shot during an armed robbery just  few blocks away.

Neighbors now hope more can be done to stop the violence.
