Man arrested in connection with Beaver Dam fatal fire

BEAVER DAM (WITI) -- A man has been arrested in connection with a fatal fire at a mobile home park in Beaver Dam.

The Dodge County Sheriff's Department received the call about the first around 4:45 a.m. on Saturday, April 13th. Flames were visible when officers first arrived on the scene.

After the fire was extinguished, firefighters found the victim. The Fond du Lac and Dodge County Medical Examiner's officers are in the process of making a positive identification and determination of cause of death.

The person in custody is being held as a person of interest. The name of the man in custody -- and charges will not be released until the person's initial appearance in court.

Firefighters from Beaver Dam, Columbus, Horicon, Lowell, Randolph and Fall River assisted in putting out the fire.
