Man arrested for 7th OWI after crashing vehicle into home

NEW BERLIN (WITI) -- A 44-year-old New Berlin man was arrested Thursday, October 17th after he allegedly crashed his truck into a home in the 20500 block of National Avenue in New Berlin while intoxicated.

According to police, the man crash his vehicle into a home around 1:53 p.m. Police say the crash caused extensive damage to the home and injured the homeowner.

The homeowner was transported to Waukesha Memorial Hospital with minor injuries and the driver was taken to the hospital for a blood draw and then to the Waukesha County Jail.

The man has been referred to the Waukesha County District Attorney's Office for his 7th OWI and causing injury while operating while intoxicated.
