MILWAUKEE -- Losing a child is a parent's worst nightmare and having them killed is especially heart wrenching. So the community rallied for loved ones while also supporting veterans dealing with trauma on Sunday, September 12th.

"Having a child murdered is unbearable," said Barb Prevort, member of P.O.M.C.
Faces of children who may be gone, but their image, like their memory will not be forgotten.
"Makes us feel good that they are still remembered," said Renee Wesolowski, member of P.O.M.C.
Barb Prevort and Renee Wesolowski are members of P.O.M.C. -- Parents of Murdered Children, and are thankful for the Nino's Classic Car & Cycle Show.
"They are raising money so we can send our members to the national conference and to just help other survivors of homicide," said Wesolowski.
For these families, the support is crucial.
The entertaining and educational event with resources and vendors held at the Milwaukee Harley Davidson, was put on the Kaitlyn O'Malia with Party-Girls Pin-Ups whose purpose is two fold.

"Help make Milwaukee a better place for our youth. Also with that, we are helping with PTSD so our streets are safe for our veterans and our children. We are helping fund the treatment of PTSD because every day, 22 veterans take their lives," said O'Malia.

O'Malia sees the connection that these causes have -- a loss of life is always tragic whether it is overseas defending our liberties, or at home at the hands of a criminal.
"It's even assisting our youth, getting them out from maybe the cross hairs of the way Milwaukee is right now and turn it around. It only takes one person to change one persons life," said O'Malia.
The fundraiser is hoping to bring about 6,000 for both causes.
