Kohl's donates over $1.7 million to fight against cancer

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Kohl's Department Stores has announced a more than $1.7 million donation from Kohl’s and its philanthropic platform Kohl’s Cares to the American Cancer Society and the Southeast Wisconsin Affiliate of Susan G. Komen, continuing its partnerships with both organizations.

The money will help sustain the current Kohl's Breast Health for Women program.

It will also support their role as the local presenting sponsor for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk in Milwaukee.

FOX6 is the television partner for the walk that takes place on May 3rd.

“Kohl’s Cares is committed to the fight against breast cancer and passionate about supporting those impacted by the disease,” said Michelle Gass, Kohl’s chief customer officer. “We are thrilled to continue our strong partnerships with both the American Cancer Society and Susan G. Komen, and look forward to providing even more local women access to the resources they need forprevention, screening, diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer.”
