Kenosha police arrest man following robbery, foot chase
KENOSHA (WITI) -- The Kenosha Police Department is applauding the actions of one of their own, Officer Austin Hancock, after he successfully apprehended a man suspected of robbing a CVS Pharmacy early Friday morning, May 9th.
According to officials, the suspect entered a CVS Pharmacy on 22nd Avenue and announced a "stick up." The suspect then smashed a cash register and took money before fleeing the scene.
Approximately one hour after the robbery, Officer Hancock observed a male walking who matched the description of the robbery suspect. At that time, a long foot chase ensued into the Muni Golf Course.
Officer Hancock tumbled through ravines, woods and bridges inside the golf course until he was able to apprehend the suspect.
The suspect is in custody and is expected to be charged with armed robbery, resisting arrest and obstructing.
