Authorities say Anderson was shot by a Wauwatosa police officer who feared for his own life.

A large crowd gathered in Madison Park on Friday, June 24th to call for a complete investigation into the events that led to this death.

"We will no longer see his beautiful face anymore. That's our baby," said a person at the vigil.

Family and friends tell us Anderson was a doting father, loving fiance and bright young man.

Wauwatosa police say an officer saw a suspicious vehicle in Madison Park early Thursday morning, Anderson was alone inside the car.

Anderson's family says he wasn't up to anything suspicious and had likely just fallen asleep in his car.

"As he was clearing his mind he dozed off, he didn't do nothing wrong, he didn't do nothing. Ain't nobody call to say he was out here playing loud music, he wasn't doing nothing just sitting in the car," said Starkeisha Delarosa, Jay Anderson's fiance.

Wearing shirts that say, "Justice 4 Jay," the group is now calling for a complete investigation on the events that led to Anderson's death.

"We are going to hold everybody accountable: the DA, politicians and the Wauwatosa Police Department. If you have to see us everyday, you going to see us everyday," said King Rick, Milwaukee Black Panthers.

No matter what an investigation concludes, Anderson's fiance and two kids will still be left without him. His fiance says their son had wanted to grow up to be a cop.
