JUST ANNOUNCED: Florida Georgia Line is first Summerfest show slated for 2015

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Even as the temperatures are headed south, Summerfest is booking acts for 2015. On Thursday, November 6th, Summerfest announced the first major show slated for next year is Florida Georgia Line. It will kick-off the Opening Day of Summerfest 2015 when they bring their Anything Goes Tour with Thomas Rhett and Frankie Ballard to the Marcus Amphitheater on Wednesday, June 24.

Florida Georgia Line has skyrocketed to stardom becoming the only artist in history to join Brooks & Dunn in achieving four back-to-back, multi-week #1 singles; breaking the record for longest #1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart and selling nearly 20 million tracks worldwide of their 2X PLATINUM debut HERE’S TO THE GOOD TIMES. Their signature anthem, “Cruise,” has been certified 8X PLATINUM and is the best-selling digital country single of all time, according to SoundScan.



Tickets for Florida Georgia Line’s show on June 24 go on sale Friday, November 14 at 10:00 am CST and include Summerfest admission. Tickets can be purchased at the Summerfest Box Office, Ticketmaster Ticket Centers, Walmart stores, online at Ticketmaster.com and by phone at 1.800.745.3000 (live Ticketmaster Agent) or 1.866.448.7849 (“Ticketmaster Express” automated phone line). Patrons may also utilize “ticketfast” at Ticketmaster.com to print barcoded concert tickets from home. Convenience fees may be added to all purchases.

Summerfest 2015 will take place June 24 - 28 and June 30 – July 5 from Noon until Midnight and will be closed Monday, June 29.
