Jefferson man killed in crash involving motorcycle, vehicle

JEFFERSON COUNTY (WITI) -- Officials in Jefferson County say a 35-year-old Jefferson man was killed in a crash involving his motorcycle and a vehicle.

It happened Saturday afternoon, August 24th just after 4:30 p.m.

Officials say 35-year-old Elias Stollenwerk of Jefferson was headed northbound on County Highway Y and failed to negotiate a curve.

Officials say Stollenwerk lost control of his 2014 Yamaha, and the bike slid on its side into the southbound traffic lane, colliding with a vehicle driven by 66-year-old Patricia Parker from Appleton.

Parker was uninjured.

Stollenwerk was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Officials say Stollenwerk was wearing proper eye protection and a helmet.

The crash remains under investigation.
