“It is very kind:" Country Thunder makes donation to Kenosha County Sheriff's Department

TWIN LAKES (WITI) –Each year, Country Thunder and the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department work closely to ensure the safety of the people attending the festival, along with those who live in the area around the festival site in Twin Lakes, Wis. Country Thunder Music Festival allocates funding annually for the Sheriff’s Department to cover the costs of the onsite personnel. The festival is donating over $3,500 in unspent funds to the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department. The money will be used to purchase permanently-mounted desktop computers for the Mobile Command Center, which is utilized as a command center at events such as Country Thunder.

“We are grateful to work side by side with Country Thunder to provide our community with as safe an event as possible,” said Sheriff David Beth. “It is very kind of Country Thunder to make this donation to the Sheriff’s Department and is an example of the cooperative agreement we share.”

“Country Thunder is thankful for Sheriff Beth and the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department. We share a common goal in making our festival a safe event for all, and work together diligently every year to improve that focus,” said Troy Vollhoffer, executive producer of the festival. “We are proud to contribute funding that will enable the Sheriff’s Department to be better equipped. We’re looking forward to working with them for years to come.”
