Indecent exposure complaint: Elkhorn police are looking for a suspect

ELKHORN (WITI) -- Elkhorn police are searching for a suspect in connection with an indecent exposure incident that occurred Thursday, June 19th.

According to officials, the Elkhorn Police Department received a complaint at approximately 9:40 a.m. regarding a male subject exposing his genitalia to an adult female.

The woman reported that she was walking north on the east sidewalk on North Broad Street, between West Jefferson Street and West Page Street, when a vehicle stopped.

The woman told police the male driver of the vehicle yelled "hey" and when she directed her attention towards the vehicle, the male driver exposed his genitalia to her and then drove away.

The woman reported that she had observed the vehicle pass her on North Broad Street once prior to stopping.

The vehicle is described as an older model, white, four-door Dodge Neon or Plymouth Breeze with front-end damage to the passenger side.

The vehicle was further described as having a dark colored interior and a loud muffler.

The woman recalled observing the rear license plate as having a purple colored square with black writing on it as well as no dashes/spacing in the license plate numbers or letters.

The driver and only occupant of the vehicle was described as a white male with darker skin tone, possibly 30 to 50 years of age.

The male was further described as having an overall dirty and unshaven appearance with scraggly dark hair. He was wearing a dirty white T-shirt, baseball hat with mesh in the back, and metal rimmed glasses with large lenses.
