Improvements on Stadium Freeway will close ramps
MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is performing work near Miller Park of US 41/Stadium Interchange which includes constructing a new bridge deck of the Wisconsin Ave. Bridge.
The work will require lane closures and full closures of some system ramps in the overnight hours.
Beginning Tuesday evening, February 11th, the ramps from both westbound and eastbound I-94 to northbound US 41 will be closed. The US 41 southbound Wisconsin Ave. entrance ramp and the US 41 northbound Wisconsin Ave. exit ramp will be closed. The I-94 entrance ramp from Mitchell Blvd. and the I-94 exit ramp to Mitchell Blvd. will be closed. The Vliet/State St. entrance ramp to US 41 will be closed.
In the overnight hours of Thursday, Friday and Monday, demolition will take place. Both northbound and southbound US 41 will be closed.
Ramp closures are scheduled between 8:00PM and 7:00AM. There will be signage to alert motorists of closures and detours. These closures are weather dependent and subject to change.
WisDOT is asking motorists to allow for additional time and remain alert and to use caution in the construction zone. It will take some time for drivers to adjust to the new patterns and some delays are expected. For more information about traffic delays go to 511wi.gov.
