House destroyed by fire in Town of Vernon

VERNON -- Fire destroyed a home in the Town of Vernon early Sunday morning.

The initial call came in to emergency responders around 3:00 a.m. Sunday. The report was smoke in the attic of a home near Benson Ave. and Pheasant Drive.

Firefighters from nine communities helped put out the fire.

Everyone who was inside the home made it out safely.
