OSHKOSH (AP) -- Heavy rain and flooding temporarily closed part of a heavily traveled route in eastern Wisconsin.

The southbound lanes of Highway 41 from Highway 26 in Winnebago County to County Highway N in Fond du Lac County are still closed. That's a stretch of about six miles.

Forecasters say more than four inches of rain fell in the area. Strong thunderstorms are moving across the state and could redevelop later Thursday.
