MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Tickets and VIP packages for the upcoming Rolling Stones concert in Milwaukee sold out within ten minutes of going on sale on Monday morning, April 13th.

The Milwaukee date is an unprecedented early kick-off to Summerfest, as The Rolling Stones will help open The World’s Largest Music Festival a night early on June 23rd, 2015 with an iconic concert performance in the Marcus Amphitheater.

Ticket brokers expected to take a lot of calls Monday as tickets went on sale.

"We had difficulty buying tickets for this particular show," TicketKing President John Lamoreaux said.

That may be because several pre-sales were held last week -- but TicketKing did manage to find a few tickets. Those sold right away Monday.

"There are times when tickets are well below face value and there are times like this Rolling Stones show where an $80 lawn seat is going for $175," Lamoreaux said.

Ticket prices only go up from there.

"Looks like the best available there would be in Row E. Those are $1,500 per ticket," a ticket broker told a caller Monday.

These tickets are in high demand.

"This is a small venue, and no show in Chicago, so you`re seeing some demand there, which will increase prices as well," Lamoreaux said.

Market value Monday had tickets ranging from $175 to $3,000. Ticketmaster has VIP packages for as high as $5,000.

"These are the highest prices I`ve ever seen," Lamoreaux said.

Those who are able to get tickets for the show are invited to join in The Official Pre-Party presented by Fiduciary Management Inc., inside of the South Gate of Henry Maier Festival Park, featuring two stages of live entertainment with food and beverages available for purchase, starting at 5:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m., before the 8:00 p.m. concert.

"It`s great! It`s a great thing for the city of Milwaukee to get a band like this. It`s by far the biggest show that they`ve ever had down at Marcus," Lamoreaux said.

Each Stones concert ticket purchase comes with a complimentary General Admission to Summerfest 2015, valid on any day of the festival during operating hours.
