Head-on crash turns fatal: 59-year-old Beloit man dies Sunday after crash on June 9th
WALWORTH COUNTY (WITI) -- Walworth County Sheriff's officials say a 59-year-old man has died following a two-vehicle head-on crash that occurred on June 9th.
The crash occurred just before 12:15 p.m. on June 9th, on Highway 14, just south of County Highway C in the Town of Darien.
An initial investigation revealed the driver of a 2008 Chevy Aveo was headed eastbound on Highway 14, when the vehicle's 63-year-old driver (of Wonder Lake, Illinois) crossed the center line and struck a 1994 Cadillac Deville operated by 59-year-old Printess Pritchard of Beloit.
The two vehicles met head-on in the westbound lane of traffic.
Pritchard was taken to a Madison-area hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries just after 9:30 a.m. Sunday, June 22nd.
The 63-year-old driver also sustained injuries as a result of the crash, but they are not believed to be life-threatening.
Officials say both men we wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
Walworth County Sheriff's officials say their investigation into this crash is ongoing.
