Hartford police arrest juvenile suspect for Tuesday morning burglary

HARTFORD -- Hartford police arrested a juvenile suspect for a burglary Tuesday, September 4th just after 2:00 a.m. in the 900 block of Spruce Street.

A resident told officers they heard noises in their home and found their back door open.

While checking the area, officers were met by a suspect wearing all-black clothing. This individual told police he lived at the residence and was initially cooperative, before fleeing. After a short pursuit, the suspect was able to elude officers.

Later, officers tracked the suspect down in the 1200 block of Elm Street. The juvenile suspect was arrested for burglary and resisting arrest.

Police say several stolen items were recovered, and it is believed additional homes may have been entered.
