Harley ride held for Hogg Heaven owner who died unexpectedly
RACINE (WITI) -- The Harley Davidson community is paying its last respects to 63-year-old Cheryle McNeese, a well-known seamstress and motorcycle lover who owned Hogg Heaven, a leather store in Racine.
FOX6 featured McNeese and her shop during the 110th Anniversary celebration. Friends were helping her rebuild after a fire destroyed the business in 2011.
McNeese died unexpectedly last week in Tomahawk. Friends and family said goodbye during a motorcycle procession after her funeral on Saturday, September 28th.
"She's just always been there for everybody and she's always wanted me to give her a bike to ride because she lost hers during the fire, so I thought I'd give her a last ride," said McNeese's lifelong friend, Harley Norby.
Horby led the procession carrying McNeese's remains. Hundreds of bikes followed.
"Probably 90% of these people have had work done by her," said Norby.
Loved ones say McNeese will be remembered for her bright spirit, sense of humor, and giving nature.
There is no word on what will happen to the store.
