Greenfield police search for man who tried to entice girl into van

GREENFIELD (WITI) -- Greenfield police are looking for a man who they say tried to entice an 11-year-old girl into his minivan on Friday afternoon, March 22nd.

Officials say shortly after 3:30 p.m. Friday, the man in a gray minivan with a slide opening passenger side door drove next to the girl near the area of 81st and Cold Spring. According to the girl, the man said, “Hey little girl, come over and get into this car.” The girl ran off.

The suspect is described as a male, white, about 28 years old, with with dark brown or black hair in a “Justin Bieber” style haircut (taken by police to mean bangs down to his eyebrows). The man's van had a peace sign on the driver’s side rear window.
