Gov. Walker to deliver "State of the State" address Wednesday

MADISON (WITI) -- Gov. Scott Walker will deliver his fourth "State of the State" address on Wednesday, January 22nd.

Gov. Walker says he is again focused on tax cuts.

Gov. Walker says the state has collected more money than expected -- allowing for even more cuts than last year.

However, Gov. Walker has yet to offer any specifics on those collections or his plans.

"We're going to announce a package that I think people will see as very much focused on helping improve the economy even more in the coming year," Gov. Walker said.

"I hope we're going to hear that 2014 is a key year, and that he's not going to hold pat, that he's not satisfied with our abysmal jobs record, that he knows schools are hurting," Rep. Peter Barca (D-Kenosha) said.

Tax cuts are not a new focus for Gov. Walker. He's made it an issue every year he's been in office.

Last year, he proposed a $650 million income tax cut as well as a $100 million property tax cut.
