Gov. Walker delivers WI delegate "roll call" during Convention
TAMPA -- Mitt Romney officially clinched the Republican presidential nomination Tuesday, August 28th during "roll call" at the GOP Convention in Tampa.
The former Massachusetts governor got well over the 1,144 delegates needed to become the Republican nominee for president.
The delegate vote began on the first full day of the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Florida.
It was New Jersey's 50 delegates that put Romney over the magic number.
Romney's formal nomination will happen on the final night of the convention Thursday, August 30th when he'll also deliver his acceptance speech.
