Free flu shots available in Milwaukee on Tuesday & Wednesday

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Molina Healthcare and Walgreens are teaming up on Tuesday, January 14th and Wednesday, January 15th to offer up to 100 free flu shots on a first come, first served basis.

On Tuesday, the free flu shots will be offered at St. Vincent De Paul, 2628 N. Martin Luther King Dr. in Milwaukee from 4:30 p.m. until 6 p.m.



On Wednesday, the flu shots will be offered at St. Vincent De Paul, 913 W. Madison St. in Milwaukee from 4:30 p.m. until 6 p.m.



The Wisconsin Department of Health Services reports that influenza is currently widespread in Wisconsin with more than 550 influenza-associated hospitalizations since October 5. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) recommends that everyone older than 6 months get vaccinated. The flu is a major national killer and causes almost 36,000 deaths every year.
