MILWAUKEE -- The first class of Milwaukee Police Department "Ambassadors" graduated from the program on Monday night, December 14th.
Seventeen young men and women graduated.
The idea is to give them meaningful work experience and a chance to explore law enforcement as a potential career.
A number of those involved already have full-time jobs lined up.
Milwaukee Police Chief Ed Flynn says the program also benefits the Milwaukee Police Department because it's a way to learn more about the community and increase diversity in the police force.
